Frequently Asked Questions

discover the answers to common inquiries about our service

Can I choose who I want to review my essays?

Since we will be receiving an influx of applications, we cannot guarantee you get matched with a specific essay editor but we will try our best.

Is essay editing the only service Notable Narratives provides?

As of now, yes, essay editing is our only service we provide. If we see an overwhelming amount of interest and our first year is successful, we are highly considering other services that include but are not limited to college lists, resume and cover letter reviews, and standardized test tutoring.

Do I need to have a rough draft before receiving help?

Absolutely not! We will help you in any part of your essay process from brainstorming to final drafts.

Can I submit more than one essay at a time?

Unfortunately, no simply because we have a lot of people showing interest and sending in their essays as well so we want to get to as many people as possible. Once we review your essay and give you the thumbs up, you will be able to submit another essay.

Is there a limit to how many essays I can submit in total?

Absolutely not, we are here to help you throughout the entire college application season! Just make sure that you can only submit one essay at a time.

How exactly is my essay going to be reviewed?

Once you press submit on the google form, we will contact you within 1-2 weeks and get you matched with one of our essay editor who will tailor to your needs through any form of communication that you are comfortable with. We will run as many edits as needed to make your essay sharp! After you are happy with where your essay stands, our service ends and you are welcome to submit another essay!

Can you write my essay for me?

We cannot write any portion of your essay for you- our service is strictly to edit your essay as it stands anywhere in the college application process.

I would love to help you and be an advisor! How can I join?

We are not accepting new advisors at the moment but are highly considering welcoming other FGLI students to join us if we receive an overwhelming amount of submissions. If you are interested in becoming an advisor, please fill out this google form. Once we consider accepting new advisors, we will contact everyone who has filled out and submitted the google form. Thank you!

How do I pay for your service?

Our team was strictly formed to help low income students with the arduous college admissions process and serve as a resource for them since most companies charge hundreds of dollars for college admission services - serving as yet another barrier for low income students to apply to college.

However, we accept any donations through our Venmo (@cemsc10) which will strictly be used to keep the website up and running for everyone to see!
